LAHORE: A flight carrying 300 Canadian nationals has left for Toronto via Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) special flight from Lahore airport.
According to the PIA’s spokesman, flight no PK-784 left for Toronto, carrying 300 Canadian nationals. The passengers were properly screened before their departure.
Authorities cleaned the flight with anti-bacterial spray before loading passengers’ luggage. The usage of facemasks was made compulsory for the passengers.
Another flight of passengers will leave for Toronto today around 10 am from Karachi International airport. PIA decided earlier on 1st April to operate two special flights from today.
The decision was made at the request of the Canadian government. Canadian High Commission in Islamabad in this regard, wrote a letter to PIA, requesting two special flights in order to bring its 620 citizens trapped in the country due to suspension of international flights.
