The Avenue has revealed the official trailer for a detective mystery thriller titled Sleeping Dogs, yet another of these crime stories they’re serving up dime a dozen.
The upcoming crime thriller sees retired homicide detective and Alzheimer’s patient Roy Freeman (Crowe) re-opening the closed case of a murdered college professor.
Adam Cooper is the director of this Australian-shot movie, which is based on EO Chirovici’s novel The Book of Mirrors.
The film’s synopsis is as follows: “After receiving state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s treatment, former homicide detective Roy Freeman is assigned to reexamine a violent case from his past—the gruesome assassination of a college professor (Csokas).”
“Interigued and struggling to remember anything, Roy calls on his old partner, Flanagan, for assistance in reviving the inquiry.
“This time though, things unfold very differently when they encounter a magnetic and mysterious woman (Gillan): as he uncovers a tangled web of contradictions and secrets, Roy is forced to face a horrific reality that changes his world forever in the blink of an eye.”
