The federal government has issued a notification for a 10% increase in the salaries of government employees and a 30% disparity allowance, as reported by national media.
According to the details, a notification has been issued by the Ministry of Finance stating that the salary increase will take effect from July 1, 2025.
As per the notification, the federal government has granted a 10% ad hoc allowance on the current basic pay of employees of the armed forces, civil armed forces, and all federal civil employees, which will also be included in the basic pay of contract employees.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance has approved a 30% disparity allowance for employees from grade 1 to grade 22 based on the basic pay of June 30, 2022, which will also take effect from July 1.
It should be noted that with the arrival of the new budget, the increase in salaries of government employees has been made to enable better care of employees’ families across the country in the face of rising inflation.
