FIA Peshawar zone carried out a major operation, foiling an attempt to obtain Pakistani citizenship through forgery and arresting four suspects, including an Afghan national, as reported by national media on Sunday.
According to the FIA spokesperson, FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Peshawar arrested four suspects from the NADRA Regional Office Peshawar.
The arrested suspects include Sadiqullah, Samiullah, Fayyaz Khan, and Yunus Khan. Sadiqullah is an Afghan national who was attempting to obtain Pakistani citizenship through fake documents, while the arrested Yunus Khan presented himself at NADRA as the father of the Afghan national and played a role in the forgery.
Suspects Fayyaz Khan and Samiullah, as witnesses and verifiers, provided fake verification and illegally confirmed Sadiqullah’s Pakistani citizenship. According to the FIA spokesperson, the suspects have been arrested and investigations have begun.
It is worth noting that, due to the increase in terrorism and other crimes in Pakistan over the past few decades, Afghan refugees, who have been hosted in Pakistan, are being sent back to Afghanistan.
