ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry met US Ambassador to Pakistan and other senior officials to apprise them of, what he called, ‘worsening Human Rights situation’ in Pakistan.

This came amid reports that Police had intensified efforts to find a way to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

In a post on Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said “worsening HR situation in Pak was a particular focus of discussion” during his meeting with US Ambassador and other senior officials. He said “I apprised US officials on PTI concerns on misuse of Anti-Terrorism and Blasphemy laws by the PDM Govt against political opponents.”

Fawad Chaudhry further said “the political situation and PTI position on various issues came under discussion. Such meetings are part of mutual desire to have relationship based on equality and well being of people.”
