Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Abir Gulaal’ wraps up filming in London

Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor have officially completed filming for their highly anticipated romantic comedy Abir Gulaal after a 40-day shoot in London.

Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, known for Chalti Rahe Zindagi, the film explores cross-cultural themes and highlights the chemistry between Khan and Kapoor. Produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, Abir Gulaal is expected to make waves in the romantic comedy genre.

According to a report by Express Tribune, the next step in production is a screening for select audiences, followed by plans for international promotion, including major film festivals. The movie is set to release in Indian theaters in late 2025.

Khan stars as a UK-based chef, with Kapoor playing the lead alongside Lisa Hayden. Co-produced by Vivek B. Agarwal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, Abir Gulaal is generating significant buzz, particularly due to Khan’s return to Bollywood after a hiatus since Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.
