The song “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke” from the Indian film “D: The Devil” was released on YouTube. As soon as the new song featuring famous Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and dancer-actress Nora Fatehi was released, it became controversial.
Initially, Nora Fatehi issued a clarification statement regarding the matter, saying that the obscene Hindi version of the song was produced without her permission.

Later, a fatwa was also issued against the song by the Darul Ifta of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This fatwa was issued by a senior religious scholar associated with the Muslim Personal Darul Ifta.
The scholar declared the content of the song as forbidden (haram) and described it as a serious sin according to Islamic teachings. He also termed the scenes in the song as vulgar and called for action against such content.
