Pakistan cricket star Fakhar Zaman has suggested awarding bonus runs for sixes exceeding 90 meters to make the game more exciting ahead of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, set to be hosted in Pakistan.
During an interview with Salman Butt on a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) podcast, Zaman proposed that such massive sixes should earn two additional runs as a reward.
Moreover, the star opener blamed his injury for his recent absence from the national team. He shared that he is working to regain form through domestic cricket, describing his return after illness as feeling like he was playing for the first time again.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has released a teaser for the official anthem of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, featuring renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam.
The tournament will showcase the top eight ODI teams, with matches scheduled in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
Originally planned to be held entirely in Pakistan, the event’s format was adjusted after arch-rival India declined to send its players due to security concerns. Despite this, the PCB has assured comprehensive security measures for all participating teams.
