KARACHI: The Election Commission is ready for transparent and peaceful elections as Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja said that the Commission was aware of all its responsibilities.

According to the details, in his message to the nation on the occasion of National Voter’s Day, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja said that polling for general elections across the country will be held on February 8.

In the message, the Chief Election Commissioner said that the notification of DRO, RO, and assistant officers will be issued in a few days and the election schedule will also be given in a few days. The Election Commission has completed the printing and delivery of the final election lists.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that we were busy with the election preparations. “People are requested to participate in the election process. The Election Commission is ready and committed to fair, transparent, and peaceful elections.” he said by adding, “Full security will also be provided to the voters during the election.”

Sikandar Sultan Raja said, “The voters should exercise their right to vote for the bright future of the nation during the general elections. People should not believe baseless news and rumors about elections. Elections will be held on February 8.”
