FAISALABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken strong notice of media briefing conducted by Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in NA-108 Faisalabad, and ordered to immediately expel him from the said constituency.
Rana Sanaullah was speaking to media after casting his vote in NA-108, where he bragged about PMLN’s victory in today’s by-elections, and that PTI’s Long March would be dealt with full force, 10 times more the strength used on May 25.
Referring to relevant clauses of ECP laws, the District Monitoring Officer (DMO) of the ECP said that through media, he came to know about Rana Sanaullah holding press talks within the premises of a polling station in NA-108 Faisalabad, which was sheer violation of the code of conduct.
The DMO ordered CPO Faisalabad to immediately expel Rana Sanaullah from the constituency and submit a compliance report.
