Earthquake tremors hit Azad Kashmir

MIRPUR: At least one person was reported dead and two injured after a house collapsed in Mirpur after earthquake tremors hit the city and adjoining areas on Sunday.
Azad Kashmir’s Bhimbhar and Mirpur jolted by earthquake aftershock. A two-story building got affected by the aftershocks, injuring at least two people when collapsed.
Following the late-night tremours, the areas were again shaken by the tremours on Sunday morning with the initial reading of the severity recorded at 3.8 on the Richter scale.
According to details, the depth of the earthquake was recorded at 15 km, reported the metrological centre.
The details further added that the epicenter of the quake was 12 km north-west of Jehlum.

Earlier in September, a strong earthquake jolted the federal capital Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and its suburban parts.
Tremors were felt in various cities for 10 seconds including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Pasrur, Jhelum, Kot Momin, Murree, Kala Bagh, Sangla Hills and many others where citizens came out of their houses and offices.
