KARACHI: An Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) raided the offices of a private courier company and recovered parcels containing banned narcotics.
ANF officials conducted a raid at the offices of a courier company located near Indus Chowrangi in Korangi receiving an intelligence-based report that a large quantity of narcotics was being smuggled abroad. Police foiled the smuggling bid and took parcels into custody.
A spokesman for the ANF said they conducted another raid and recovered two kilogrammes of heroin from Abid Hussain, who was a member of an inter-provincial smugglin gang. They also recovered two parcels containing heroin bound for United Kingdom and New Zealand.
The spokesman said documents from the courier company have been confiscated. A case has registered against those who booked the parcel.
