In a show of solidarity with Karachi’s retail community, Dolmen Mall and Atrium Mall have announced initiatives to support traders affected by the recent fire at Gul Plaza.
Dolmen Mall has offered free retail space to Gul Plaza shopkeepers to help them restart their businesses as they work towards recovery and rebuilding.
The management said the initiative reflects its commitment to standing by the retail community in times of need.
Similarly, Atrium Mall has also stepped forward, announcing the provision of free exhibition stalls for Gul Plaza retailers. The move aims to help affected traders resume business operations and regain financial stability following the devastating incident.

Both malls emphasised that collective support and cooperation are essential during difficult times, reaffirming their message that the retail community can rebuild and grow stronger together.

On the night of 17 January 2026 at 22:15 PKT, a major fire broke out at the Gul Plaza shopping centre on Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road in Karachi, Pakistan.
The blaze spread rapidly through the multistory commercial building, resulting in 61 deaths, injuries and extensive damage.
