The United Kingdom has opened applications for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships 2025, offering full tuition funding for students from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries.
These prestigious scholarships enable eligible candidates to pursue a UK master’s degree through part-time distance learning, fully funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).

Eligibility Requirements
- To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of, have refugee status in, or be a British Protected Person from an eligible Commonwealth country
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
- Hold a first degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second-class (2:1) standard; candidates with a lower qualification may be considered if they have significant relevant experience
- Demonstrate financial need and an inability to pursue the program without the scholarship
- Provide at least one academic or professional reference
While an offer to study is not initially required to apply, selected applicants must obtain an Unconditional Offer from their chosen UK university before commencing studies. Prospective candidates are advised to begin their university application process as early as possible.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted via the CSC’s online application system no later than 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, 20 May 2025. Courses will commence in September/October 2025.
