ISLAMABAD: The efforts to form a government have accelerated in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the election of the chief ministers in Sindh and Punjab.
Pakistan People’s Party central leader and presidential candidate Asif Ali Zardari met Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and discussed the country’s political situation.
The chairman senate and People’s Party leader also discussed the issues related to government formation in Balochistan. Senate and presidential elections were also discussed in the meeting. Senator Agha Umar Zai, Senator Mir Ali Hassan Brohi, and others were also present on this occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani is going to retire as a senator in March 2024 while Asif Ali Zardari is the joint candidate of the People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League (N) for the post of President.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the Balochistan Assembly has been called for tomorrow i.e. Wednesday i.e. February 28 to take the oath of the newly elected members of the Assembly.
According to the schedule, the meeting of the Balochistan Assembly will begin on February 28 at 3 pm for the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members. Speaker Balochistan Assembly John Jamali will administer the oath to the elected representatives.
