KARACHI: Director-General (DG) of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Nasim-ul-Ghani Sahito is allegedly patronizing illegal construction in several areas of Karachi.
According to details, the Director-General of SBCA is allegedly receiving a large amount of bribe in this regard. Director SBCA Liaquatabad Ijaz Malik allowed illegal construction under the support of Nasim-ul-Ghani Sahito.
Director Liaquatabad Ijaz Malik has illegally given permission to various builders in his respected area for illegal construction. He has allegedly directed Assistant Director Shakeel Jamali, Assistant Director Farooq Zardari, Senior Building Inspector Abrez Ahmed Abro, Senior Building Inspector Manzoor Ali Chandio, and Building Inspector Wajid Ali Shah for collecting bribes.
The illegal construction includes 4th Floor Plot No. 14/3 Block 2-J of Nazimabad No. 2, 3rd Floor Plot No. 8/3 Block 2-H, 3rd Floor Plot No. 5/19, Ground Plus Five at Plot No. 8/3 on Block 2-E, 3rd Floor on Block 2-H Plot No. 13/1.
Sources further informed that illegal construction is also underway on these plots: 3rd Floor on Plot No. 5/19 of Block No. 2-A, 3rd Floor on Plot No. 15/3, 2/14, 4/4 of Block 2-D in Nazimabad No. 1, Ground Plus Four at No. 4/43, 50/3, 50/2 and 47/1.
From these places, Ijaz Malik’s subordinate officers are receiving bribes of millions of rupees daily. Despite the Supreme Court orders, illegal construction still continued in the metropolis.
