Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that the target in Kabul was a depot containing ammunition, weapons and drones belonging to the Afghan Taliban.
Speaking to Hamid Mir on the Capital Talk programme aired by Geo News, he said the explosions caused by the detonation of the ammunition were witnessed across the city.
He added that reports of civilian casualties were false propaganda, claiming that many Taliban fighters do not wear uniforms and instead dress in civilian clothing.
According to the ISPR chief, the Taliban also use drug-dependent individuals for suicide attacks.
He further alleged that drones used against Pakistan are being supplied to the Afghan Taliban by India.
He reiterated that Pakistan has no conflict with the people of Afghanistan, stating that they themselves are being held hostage by militant elements.
