Major Gen Asif Ghafoor transferred as DG ISPR

DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor removed, Gen Babar takes over
RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor has been transferred and Major General Babar Iftikhar has been appointed as the new DG ISPR.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor will be appointed as the General Officer Commander (GOC) Okara.  
The outgoing DG ISPR, Asif Ghafoor took to Twitter and thanked everyone and said, “I have remained associated with during the tenure. My very special thanks to media all across. Can’t think enough fellow Pakistanis for their love and support.”

He conveyed his best wishes to the new DG ISPR. Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor was appointed as the DG ISPR in December 2016. He had replaced Lt Gen Asim Bajwa.
He also tweeted from his personal Twitter account, expressing gratitude towards the people for the love and support he received during his tenure as the DG ISPR. “Stay strong, continue doing your bit for Pakistan. Stay blessed,” he wrote.
