The Deol family has announced a heartfelt tribute to the late veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, just weeks before his 90th birthday.
Sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have decided to mark the milestone birth anniversary by opening the gates of Dharmendra’s Khandala farmhouse to the public, allowing fans to pay their respects and honor the actor’s cinematic legacy.
The decision to open the farmhouse, as reported by Hindustan Times, came after the family recognized that many admirers wished they had a final chance to see or meet the legendary actor.
“Sunny and Bobby… realized that many fans wished they had the chance to meet or see Dharmendra one last time. That’s why they’ve decided to open the farmhouse gates for fans who want to come, pay their respects, and meet the family,” a source confirmed.
The Deols will gather at the location and meet the fans wishing to share their condolences and remember the star.
The family is keeping the event simple, focusing on a genuine connection rather than organizing a formal fan meet. They are reportedly considering arranging transportation due to the farmhouse’s challenging accessibility, depending on the expected attendance.
The Khandala tribute follows the family’s period of mourning, which included a private funeral in Mumbai, the immersion of his ashes in the Ganges at Haridwar, and a star-studded prayer meet titled ‘Celebration of Life’ held on November 27.
