Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operations have been affected due to dense fog in Lahore, Multan, Sialkot and Faisalabad, leading to temporary changes in flight schedules.
According to a PIA spokesperson, both domestic and international flights were disrupted as visibility at the affected airports dropped sharply, creating difficulties for safe aircraft landings and take-offs.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest flight information before heading to the airport. The spokesperson said the temporary schedule adjustments were made to ensure passenger safety and to minimize unnecessary delays amid adverse weather conditions.
During periods of dense fog, reduced visibility becomes a critical operational challenge, rendering flight operations highly safety-sensitive.
PIA has requested passengers to contact its helpline at 786-786-111 prior to travel to confirm the latest status of their respective flights.
