MUMBAI: Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has jetted off from Mumbai to unveil the FIFA World Cup Trophy in Qatar. Ranveer Singh saw Deepika off, who looked classy in her drawstring hooded windbreaker that features a lightweight sporty construction, while dropping his lady at the Mumbai airport.
Deepika Padukone stole the limelight at the airport by flashing her smile. Deepika Padukone is reported to be the first global star to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals, possibly the first in FIFA history.
The photographers who clicked her picture at the airport reminded her to click a selfie with Argentinian legend Messi .
The final match of the popular football tournament will be held on December 18 (today) at Qatar’s Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The actress has been making waves in the international arena. Earlier this year, she hit headlines after she represented India as a member of the international jury at the Cannes Film Festival held in May 2022.
Indian media quoted sources close to Pinkvilla as saying “Deepika is expected to travel to Qatar to be a part of the sporting event.” On the work front, she will next be seen in the films Cirkus and Pathaan.
