COVID-19 cases in Punjab reach 119,500

LAHORE: The number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has reached 119,578, as per the spokesperson of Primary and Secondary Health Care.

At least 543 more cases of coronavirus were reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours. 45 more deaths were reported from coronavirus in Punjab, bringing the total number of deaths from coronavirus in the province to 3,036.

A spokesman for Primary and Secondary Health Care said that 15,356 coronavirus tests were conducted in Punjab in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus beaters in the province to 98,601.

It may be recalled that 2,458 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the global epidemic coronavirus and the total number of infected people has reached 4482.

According to the National Command and Control Center, 67 more deaths have been reported from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 8,091. In Pakistan, 343,286 coronavirus patients have recovered and 49,105 are undergoing treatment.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 30,408, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 74,370, in Sindh 1,74,350, in Punjab 119,578, in Balochistan 17,187, in Azad Kashmir 6,933 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,658 people have been infected with the coronavirus.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus is in Punjab where 3,036 people have lost their lives. 2,935 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 1,369 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 318 in Islamabad, 97 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 167 in Balochistan, and 169 in Azad Kashmir.
