Coronavirus death toll surpasses 1,339,571 worldwide

WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has affected 58,983,531 people and killed 1,339,571 in the world.

So far, more than 47.6 million patients in coronavirus have recovered and 1,68,24,439 are undergoing treatment. Coronavirus has the highest number of registered cases and deaths in the United States. 

In the United States, 262,696 deaths and more than 12.58 million cases have been reported from coronavirus. India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, with 1,33,773 deaths and more than 9,140,000 people diagnosed with the virus.

The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Brazil is 169,197 and more than 6,071,000 people are affected. In France, more than 2.14 million people have been affected and 48,732 have lost their lives.

In Russia, more than 2,089,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus and the total death toll is 36,179. More than 1.589 million people have been affected in Spain, while 42,619 people have died. 

In the UK, 1.512 million coronavirus cases and 55,024 deaths have been reported. The last 10 million cases in the world were registered in just 21 days. It took 223 days from the first case to 10 million cases.

From the first case to 25 million cases, coronavirus took 284 days. The last 25 million cases were registered in just 71 days.

The first case of coronavirus was registered on 17th November 2019. On 21st May, the number of cases reached 5 million. On 27th June, the number of cases crossed one crore.
