KARACHI: A further 39 deaths and 930 new cases have been reported across the country due to the global coronavirus.
The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 22,073 and the number of positive cases has reached 950,768. The number of active cases is 33,005 and 8,95,960 people have recovered from the virus.
So far, a total of 1,348,354 doses of coronavirus have been administered. Vaccination of 25 lakh 66 thousand 547 people have been completed in the country. The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 10,672 people lost their lives while 5,358 in Sindh, 4,280 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 775 in Islamabad, 111 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 303 in Balochistan, and 574 in Azad Kashmir.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 82,431, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 137,247, Punjab 345,251, Sindh 333,194, Balochistan 26,776, Azad Kashmir 20,019 and Gilgit-Baltistan 5,850. Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and people over the age of 19 are being vaccinated.
Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process is being controlled by digital mechanisms. Atleast 189 vaccination centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan, and 14 in Islamabad. Vaccination is being carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
