KARACHI: The coronavirus has killed 71 more people in Pakistan and affected 2,729 more.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the death toll from coronavirus in Pakistan has risen to 8,724, while the total number of victims has reached 435,056. In Pakistan, 381,208 patients of coronavirus have recovered and 45,124 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 3,320 people lost their lives while 3,132 in Sindh, 1,455 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 358 in Islamabad, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 173 in Balochistan, and in Azad Kashmir, 188 people have lost their lives.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 34,300, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 51,404, in Sindh 1,92,735, in Punjab 1,26,526, in Balochistan 17,696, in Azad Kashmir 7,620 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,775.

Nationwide, the number of positive cases of coronavirus rose to 7.9 percent. Karachi coronavirus positive case rate is 17.39 percent. According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases in Hyderabad was 18.43 percent. In Azad Kashmir it is 10.83 percent, in Balochistan, it is 11.62 percent, in Gilgit-Baltistan, it is 2.68 percent, in Islamabad it is 6.16 percent, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it is 11.29 percent and in Sindh, it is 11.47 percent.
According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases in Punjab is 4.42. The rate of positive cases in Lahore was 5.47 percent and in Rawalpindi, it was 11.26 percent. The rate of positive cases in Peshawar was 16.2, in Quetta 6.19, and in Mirpur 22 percent.
