A cold wave is likely to grip Islamabad and Rawalpindi as Temperatures are expected to drop further in the coming days, likely falling below 5°C, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
On Sunday, November 23, both cities recorded minimum temperatures of 5°C. The forecast indicates that nights will become even colder.
Weather forecasts for the next few days project minimum temperatures for Rawalpindi around 3°C to 4°C. Islamabad is also expected to experience similar low temperatures.
The weather is likely to remain cold and dry, with clear skies, particularly during the night and morning hours.
This temperature drop is part of an intensifying cold wave across northern Pakistan, marking the arrival of winter conditions.
Meanwhile, Karachi is experiencing clear, sunny, and dry conditions for the next several days, with no precipitation expected. Today’s temperature is a high of 28°C (82°F-86°F) and a low of 18°C (58°F-62°F).
