CNG stations reopen across Sindh after four days

KARACHI: The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations reopened on Saturday after being closed for four days across Sindh province.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) had suspended gas supply to all CNG stations due to a shortage of million square feet of gas and system’s line pack. Domestic consumers had complained of extremely low gas pressure as the shortage became acute in Karachi.

The closure of the CNG stations had also various troubles of the commuters using public transport in the metropolis,  conversely, the re-opening of  CNG stations across the province will bring a little relief for the public of the province.

On Saturday a press release issued by SSGC, after the betterment in the system’s line pack, all CNG stations in the province have been opened from last night 11:00 pm and will open till 8:00 am on Monday.

As per the schedule, the gas supply to CNG stations usually close on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, however, in the current wee the schedule disrupted and its closure period extended by 90 hours that caused the severe problems for the people who used public transport.
