KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials for stern screening of the passengers landing at the Karachi airport.
The statement came in meeting between CAA officials who called on Sindh Chief Minister today (Thursday) at CM House.
The CAA officials briefed CM Murad that isolation rooms have been established at the airport.
The officials further apprised that the screening process at the Karachi airport is underway and no passengers is allowed to enter Karachi without screening.
CM Murad also sought details about flights landing at the Karachi airport from China and Iran, and directed the officials to further strict the screening process.
Earlier today, while talking to journalists CM Murad said, “Don’t get panic; Sindh government will take care of you.”
CM further said that task force has been established to control coronavirus outbreak in Sindh.
He informed that the infected people of coronavirus in Paksitan has been kept in isolation wards, adding that data of 1500 people who traveled to Iran in past few days have been gathered.
