China has strongly denounced the heinous terrorist attack that targeted a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, terming the incident a “barbaric act against innocent lives.”
The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and those injured.
“We have taken serious note of the tragic attack on schoolchildren in Balochistan,” said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson. “China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism and extends its deepest sympathies to the victims and their loved ones. We will continue to support Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism.”
The death toll from the brutal attack has now risen to six, following the demise of Sahar Saleem, an 8th-grade student who succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Quetta. Previously, three young girls—Sania Soomro (12), Hifza Kausar (12), and Aisha Saleem (16)—were confirmed among the victims, along with two other individuals.
According to security sources, initial findings indicate that the attack may have been orchestrated by India-backed terrorist proxies aiming to destabilize the region. Intelligence officials believe the bombing was carried out by the notorious outfit “Fitnat-ul-Hind”, which has been linked to previous acts of subversion within Pakistan.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has registered a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act, including provisions for murder, attempted murder, and criminal conspiracy. An extensive investigation is currently underway, with intelligence and law enforcement agencies working in close coordination to identify and apprehend those responsible.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, labeling it an act of cowardice carried out by foreign-funded terrorists. He directly blamed “Fitnat-ul-Hind”, stating that the group operates with financial and logistical support from hostile Indian agencies.
“Targeting children is an unforgivable act of terror,” said the Prime Minister. “Pakistan will never allow its soil to be violated by such forces. We are united in our resolve to dismantle these terrorist networks.”
