Cement prices across Pakistan have remained elevated during May 2026, with the cost of a 50kg bag continuing to vary across different regions and brands amid ongoing pressure on the construction sector.

According to the latest market figures, retail prices for cement are currently ranging between Rs1,350 and Rs1,550 per bag depending on the manufacturer, transportation costs and regional supply conditions.

Market dealers said the average price in most urban centres is currently hovering between Rs1,390 and Rs1,450 per bag, reflecting continued volatility in the building materials market.

Among major manufacturers, DG Khan Cement is being sold between Rs1,415 and Rs1,425 per 50kg bag, while Fauji Cement is available in the range of Rs1,395 to Rs1,405.

Meanwhile, Lucky Cement and Kohat Cement are both trading between Rs1,380 and Rs1,390 per bag in various markets.

Bestway Cement remained among the relatively lower-priced options, with market rates standing at approximately Rs1,350 per bag.

Traders and industry observers attribute the persistently high prices to a combination of increased fuel and transportation costs, expensive raw materials, energy tariffs and fluctuating market demand linked to ongoing economic pressures.

Pakistan’s construction sector has faced repeated challenges over the past year due to inflation, higher financing costs and uncertainty in the broader economy, all of which have contributed to rising costs for developers, contractors and individual consumers.
