Police have arrested two accused involved in a gang-rape of a pregnant woman in Kahna area of Lahore.
According to the police, the accused were traced from Johar Town with the help of modern technology. SP Model Town Shahrbanu Naqvi was supervising the proceedings of the case herself.
Police say that the victim was seven months pregnant and was associated with a private catering company as a waiter.
The catering company owner allegedly lured the woman to a house in a private housing society on Defense Road under a pretext, where he and one of his associates assaulted her.
According to the SP Model Town, one of the accused also tortured the woman for putting up resistance. A case has been registered under Section 375A in the Kahna police station.
According to the police, the arrested suspects Abbas and Azam have been handed over to the Gender Cell for further investigation. SP Shahrbanu Naqvi said that those who exploit women do not deserve any concessions.
