A significant step has been taken towards improving healthcare services by the Balochistan government, as a cancer ward has been activated at Bolan Medical Complex Hospital in Quetta, as reported by national media on Monday.
According to a report by Daily Dawn, the cancer ward, with its establishment and activation, is now providing free injections to patients of the fatal disease, up to Rs. 1.3 million, making life-threatening cancer treatment easier for them.
On the other hand, the patients and their families have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Bugti and provincial Health Minister Bakht Mohammad Kakar for the initiative of establishing the ward for severely needy patients during their time of difficulty.
Shahid Rind, the spokesperson for the provincial government, has stated that efforts are being made to enhance the care provided to cancer patients, including the ongoing construction of a cancer hospital in Balochistan, which will help more patients in the future.
According to Shahid Rind, the Balochistan government is committed to reforming the health sector and ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare for all, including both the poor and the rich people of the province.
