Abdul Razzaq receives injuries while attempting to save Dr Mahnoor at Quetta’s Civil Hospital

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced a civil award for Abdul Razzaq Tareen, a hospital employee who was injured while attempting to save a female doctor during a recent acid attack in Quetta.

The chief minister personally telephoned Abdul Razzaq, a ward boy at Civil Hospital Quetta, to commend his courage and selflessness. During the conversation, Razzaq recounted the details of the incident in which he suffered burn injuries while trying to protect Dr. Mahnoor from the attacker.

Praising his bravery, Bugti said Abdul Razzaq had demonstrated exceptional courage by putting his own life at risk to help the victim during the tragic incident. He assured him that the Government of Balochistan would bear all expenses related to his medical treatment.

“You have made us proud with your courage and commitment,” the chief minister told Razzaq, adding that brave and dedicated individuals like him are a source of national pride.

Bugti said Abdul Razzaq’s timely intervention reflected the highest standards of humanity and professional responsibility and deserved recognition at the national level.

He further reiterated the government’s commitment to encouraging those who serve society and protect lives in difficult circumstances.
