Spanish clothing giant ‘Zara’, which is one of the largest international fashion companies has faced severe backlash after its recent Turkish advertising campaign for shoes.
The brand’s latest shoe advertising campaign has displayed bread, ice cream, and other food items in shoes. Soon after the campaign became online, the Turkish people criticized and shamed the brand and called it a ‘careless’ and ‘unprofessional behavior’.

For outraged social media users, these food items could be life-changing for poor and needy people. The brand soon after facing backlash removed the latest shoe campaign pictures from its official website over remarks about wasting and disrespecting food.
However, it was soon late as soon after the pictures went viral on social media, the hashtag ‘ZaraHaddiniBil’ (Zara know your place) was already a trending hashtag on Turkish social media.
