The 6-year-old boy named, Bridger Walker, has redefined the act of bravery, sacrifice, and selflessness in the modern world, where people care for themselves more than anything. By risking his life in order to save his 3-year-old sister, the little hero has become an inspiration for everyone across the globe.
Recently, this iconic story of Walker appeared on Facebook. A page named, FI THIT, dropped a few pictures of Walker with his sister and shared the entire story in brief.
This horrible incident occurred back in 2020. Till then Walker was just a kid, who used to play with his younger sister. One day a German Shepherd dog attacked his sister. Instead of getting scared and running back, Walker jumped into the scene to insure the safety of his sister. His efforts neutralized the wild attack but left with wounds.
The dog bites were so severe that he underwent 90 stitches.

Nikki Walker, Bridger’s aunt, shared the incredible story of her nephew’s heroism on Instagram, writing: “My nephew is a hero who saved his little sister from an attacking dog. He, himself, took on the attack so that the dog wouldn’t get his sister.” She revealed that the little boy later opened up to his family about what was going through his head at the terrifying moment of the attack. “If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me,” Bridger told his family, said Walker.
Walker elaborated on the details of the incident in another Instagram post, writing: “On July 9th, my six-year-old nephew Bridger saved his little sister’s life by standing between her and a charging dog. After getting bit several times on the face and head, he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran with her to keep her safe. After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he’s finally resting at home. We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks.” The proud aunt also explained that despite his wounds, Bridger is in great spirits and thrilled about all the love he’s receiving online.
Following this, Walker became a hero on social media. Interestingly, his story captured the heart of WBC President, Mauricio Sulaiman. He admired Walker’s act of bravery and presented him with a WBC title belt. The WBC recognized him as an honorary WBC Champion.
Later, taking inspiration from Walker, Sulaiman added the 18th weight class after his name which is known as Bridgeweight. The limit of this division would be 224 pounds. It would be lighter than heavyweight and bigger than cruiserweight.
