Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday demanded Kabul to stop terrorism against Pakistan from its soil.
“Nato-left arms and ammunition are in the possession of the terrorists in some places”, Bilawal said while addressing the participants of an event held at the Foreign Ministry.
He added: “Islamabad is ready to help Kabul fight terrorists. Our policy on terrorism is clear. We are not in the politics of blocs.”
The FM continued: “Pakistan will follow international laws to save its soil from terrorists.
“If the Afghan authorities do not act, we may have an option to operate inside Afghanistan … but it will be our last resort.”
He said he visited Jamiat Ulema Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to express solidarity with him over the Bajaur incident.
Negotiations for a caretaker government are progressing,” he said.
The Foreign Office organized the event in connection with the Change Management Initiative brought in to improve ng the ministry’s ability to effectively fulfill its mandates through reforms.
