KARACHI: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will inaugurate the intra-district bus service in the Sindh capital today.
According to details, it is time to fulfill the long dream of the citizens of Karachi. The total area of five depots for buses running on seven routes is 78.4 acres.
Passengers will be able to avail of intra-district bus service from 235 bus stations in different parts of Karachi. Buses will cover a total distance of 212.5 km on their respective routes.
Led by Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Transport Department finalized preparations for the inauguration of the People’s Intra District Bus Service.

People’s bus service from Route One to Model Colony to Tower will start today. In the first phase, seven routes in Karachi have been constructed on which 240 buses will run.
The inaugural ceremony of The People’s Bus Service service will be held at 12 noon today. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other Sindh cabinet ministers will attend the inauguration ceremony.
It should be noted that in terms of the population of Karachi, buses are available in small numbers. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will inaugurate the bus service which will provide travel facilities to the citizens of Karachi.
