A bearish trend returned to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday following a bullish trend in the early trading hours and the benchmark KSE-100 index registered a negative change of -0.08 percent, closing at 112,924.93 with a drop of 85 pints.
After remaining in green on the last two trading days, the market opened on a positive note on Wednesday and gained up to 300 points, however later it could not maintain an upward trend.
The benchmark KSE-100-Index dropped 85 points to 112,924.93, as compared to 113,010.38 points on the last trading day.
A total of 399,447,529 shares were traded during the day as compared to 486,935,003 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs17,882,351,608 compared to 30.381 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 440 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 171 of them recorded gains and 211 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 58 companies remained unchanged.
