The administration of Qila Abdullah district in Balochistan reported on Sunday night that two people were killed and more than 11 others were injured in a car bomb explosion in Tehsil Gulistan.
According to details, Deputy Commissioner Qila Abdullah Riaz Khan Dawood confirmed the loss of lives in the commercial market explosion to Independent Urdu. He said, “An attempt was made to target security forces in the explosion, but the security personnel remained safe.”
Riaz Khan Dawood stated that the incident, which occurred in the evening, initially appeared to be a car bomb explosion. “Ordinary people were targeted in the attack. Three of the injured are said to be in critical condition. The injured have been transferred to Quetta after initial medical treatment.” He added.
The DC stated that after the explosion, security forces surrounded the area, and a bomb disposal squad was also called from Quetta to assess the nature of the bomb. On the other hand, the Balochistan government has ordered an investigation into the incident.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said in a statement that the explosion in Gulistan Market in Qila Abdullah is condemnable. Terrorism is a war against national security. We will not leave the victims alone in this hour of grief. Militants will not be forgiven under any circumstances.”
