LAHORE: The court has accepted the bail application of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the police attack case.
According to the details, the anti-terrorism court in Lahore approved the bail application in the case related to resistance and attack on the police during the raid on the house of Pervaiz Elahi.
The case in which Pervaiz Elahi was granted bail by the Anti-Terrorism Court was registered at Ghalib Market police station. Elahi pleaded with the court and said that I was accused baselessly.
The former chief minister took a stand that in the case, the police party also accused me of throwing petrol bombs. A baseless and false case was filed against me for political revenge.
Elahi requested the court to approve the pre-arrest bail application till the final decision of the case. The court accepted the bail request for 50,000 in the case.
Later speaking to media representatives outside the court, Elahi said, “We are aware of him and his family as well. They have a habit of never breaking a promise to whomever they promise.”
While talking to the media, Elahi said that the cases will go on together, we have no panic and we are facing the case fully.
