ATC indicts five BLA operatives in Chinese consulate attack

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court has indicted five banned BLA operatives involved in the attack on the Chinese consulate.

The accused pleaded not guilty in court, after which notices were issued to witnesses and the investigating officer. The accused include Ahmed Hasnain, Nadir Khan, Ali Ahmed, Abdul Latif, and Aslam.

The court has ordered the witnesses and the investigating officer to appear at the next hearing. Police told the court that the suspects facilitated the dead terrorists. The suspects confessed to aiding and abetting the attack on the Chinese consulate.

The suspects provided weapons and explosives to the attackers. It may be recalled that four people, including two policemen, were martyred and a security guard was injured in an attack on the Chinese Consulate in 2018.
