At least 15 killed as bus carrying wedding guests overturns in Jhal Magsi
JHAL MAGSI: At least 15 people were killed and 21 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying wedding guests overturns in Jhal Magsi district in Balochistan on late Friday night.
According to rescue sources, the ill-fated bus was carrying wedding guests back to Madhiji town in Sindh from Lasbela in Balochistan and met the accident near the Bareecha area. As a result, 15 people were killed and 21 others sustained injuries.
Receiving information, Deputy Commissioner Sharjeel Noor, along with the Levies force personnel reached the scene and started a rescue operation.
The dead bodies and injured were shifted to the hospital in Shahdadkot from where the injured were referred to a hospital in Larkana due to their critical condition.
Deputy Commissioner Sharjeel Noor said the accident has occurred as the tie rod of the bus broken and brake failure. He said some injured were in critical condition, added that women and children were among the dead.
