Leading television network ARY Network has acquired a majority stake in the digital media platform Nukta, with prominent anchor Kamran Khan set to become chairman of ARY.
Speaking on the occasion, Salman Iqbal, founder and chief executive of ARY Group, said the media landscape is rapidly evolving and that ARY has consistently been at the forefront of this change.
According to him, bringing Nukta into ARY’s media network will further strengthen the group’s digital presence while expanding its global broadcasting reach.
He expressed hope that the merger would create an integrated media platform capable of delivering impactful journalism and modern storytelling suited to the demands of the digital age.
Under the agreement, Nukta will continue to operate from its headquarters in Dubai, but it will now form part of ARY Group’s global media network.
Following the deal, senior journalist and Nukta founder Kamran Khan has been appointed chairman of ARY News and Nukta. He said the partnership presents an opportunity to combine ARY’s extensive broadcast reach with Nukta’s rapidly growing digital platform.
