Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem has secured another gold medal — this time at the National Games.
In the ongoing 35th National Games in Karachi, Arshad Nadeem recorded an impressive throw of 81.81 metres, earning him the gold medal. Yasar Sultan claimed silver, while Abrar from the Pakistan Army won the bronze medal.
Arshad Nadeem completed three throws in total, with his best throw of 81.81 metres placing him comfortably ahead of all competitors and securing the top spot on the podium.
Meanwhile, athletes from the Pakistan Air Force dominated the sailing events at the National Games. In the Optimist Class Open category, Muhammad Suleman of the Air Force clinched the gold medal.
In the team event, Pakistan Navy secured second place. In the Optimist Girls category, Tahseen Qazi of the Air Force won the gold medal.
In the ILCA Class Four, Joshua from the Air Force took the top honour, while in the women’s category, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Umeema Imran won the gold medal.
