 Army chief praise services, sacrifices of medical staff

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has appreciated the services and sacrifices of medical staff all over the country.
According to  statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, the army chief inaugurated the Positron Emission Tomography– Computed Tomography (PET-CT) & Cyclotron System and Biplane Angiography System at the Armed Forces Institute of Radiology & Imaging (AFIRI) in Rawalpindi.
Javed Bajwa further said that AFIRI being a state-of-the-art facility is providing high-quality medical services to people of Pakistan, the statement said.
Acknowledging untiring services and sacrifices of medical staff all over the country, the COAS said that the Army Medical Corps will continue to serve the nation through professional excellence and inspiring leadership.
On May 13, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had visited Quetta and reviewed COVID-19 relief activities.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement had said: “During the visit, COAS had attended a briefing at the Southern Command Headquarters (HQ), visited the garrison quarantine facility for coronavirus, and interacted with troops busy in pandemic relief activities.”
During the visit to a garrison quarantine facility, COAS had lauded the formation for preparations and facilities established as per health SOPs and guidelines.
While interacting with officers and men, COAS appreciated their dedication and professionalism,” the statement had said.
COAS Bajwa said that Balochistan was the “future of Pakistan” and that it was the armed forces’ duty to fully help its government and the people towards a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan.
