RAWALPINDI: On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has called India to resolve the longstanding issue of Jammu and Kashmir in a dignified and peaceful manner as per the aspirations of the Kashmiris and bring this human tragedy to its logical conclusion.
According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Bajwa has saluted Kashmiris for their valiant struggle and braving gravest atrocities, human rights violations and lockdown in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) under Indian occupation forces.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa stressed that time has come to end this human tragedy and resolve the Kashmir issue as per aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the UN resolutions.

Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed across the world on Friday (today) to express wholehearted support of the Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.
The day will expose the worst ever oppression perpetrated by India against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
On Thursday, the Army chief haad asserted that the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) deserve peace.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Bajwa discussed his vision of an enduring peace within Pakistan and the region during a visit to the Lahore Garrison.
The military’s media wing informed that Gen Bajwa’s address to officers of the garrison “focused on professional matters, the internal and external security situation of the country”.
The COAS also apprised the officers with the latest developments on Eastern Border. The situation in II0J&K was also discussed wherein the COAS reaffirmed the commitment for a just resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
Furthermore, COAS reiterated the need for greater vigilance and a state of preparedness amid new challenges of hybrid war. Earlier today on arrival at Lahore, COAS was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz.
