Apple’s new iPhone 16 series buyers in Pakistan are facing severe disappointment and anger. After spending millions of rupees to purchase PTA-approved devices, users have revealed that the phones are encountering such faults that make daily use impossible, and the worst part is that this issue is not covered under warranty.
According to users, iPhone 16 Pro Max and other models completely freeze during calls or while checking messages. At the time of a phone call or opening a message, the device suddenly becomes unresponsive and is no longer usable.
According to ProPakistani, a user from Islamabad complained, saying: “I bought the Pro Max so that I could use the world’s best phone, but it freezes at the most important moments. This is deception.”
According to a survey conducted in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, dozens of users are facing this issue. Complaints have emerged most frequently at the Apple shop in Star City Mall, Saddar, Karachi.
Shopkeepers claim that they only import packed sets, therefore they do not accept any responsibility for internal faults.
Apple’s official distributor in Pakistan, Mercantile, has also disappointed users. The company repeatedly advises users to do a factory reset and then tells them to contact the Apple helpline, but due to the lack of Apple’s official presence in Pakistan, this facility is useless.
