KARACHI: Another rain system is about to enter Sindh’s capital and heavy rain will pour on 28th and 29th August.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is expected to receive heavy rainfall this week.
The PMD has predicted that the system from Bengal will bring heavy rains to Karachi. Between 30mm and 40mm of rain is expected to pour in the city.
The weather office, however, predicted pleasant weather in Karachi with chances of light rainfall or drizzle in the upcoming week.
Earlier this month, at least 12 people were killed in Karachi due to rain-related incidents.
The uninterrupted rain recorded at almost 200 millimetres (mm), created a critical situation in the city as various areas were hit with hour-long power outages and urban flooding.
Last week, various parts of Sindh’s capital received early morning drizzle and light rainfall. The weather turned pleasant in the city after several areas received light showers.
