Sadia Afzal, a well-known anchor, has recently married businessman Umar Chaudhry, shortly after her divorce from former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda.
The grand wedding took place on December 22, 2024, at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by close family, relatives, and several notable politicians, including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Parvez Ashraf, Mustafa Khokhar, Faisal Karim Kundi, and Kashmala Tariq.
In a post shared by “Grand Event Management” on Instagram, Sadia was seen wearing an off-white wedding dress by Manish Malhotra, paired with golden and emerald jewelry, along with golden bangles that enhanced her beauty. Social media flooded her with well wishes and appreciation.

Rumors about Sadia Afzal and Faisal Vawda’s marriage first emerged in 2021 when Vawda’s Senate nomination papers listed Sadia as his second wife, along with his first wife and two daughters. Although the couple remained silent about their marriage, Sadia later posted a congratulatory picture with Vawda after his election to the Senate. The reasons and timing of their divorce, however, have never been publicly explained.
Speculation on social media suggests their divorce occurred around 15 days ago, possibly linked to an alleged video recording that Vawda blamed on his ex-wife, though these rumors remain unconfirmed.
