Alice Wells meets Ijaz Shah, discuss national, regional security
ISLAMABAD: Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells met Interior Minister Ijaz Shah today (Monday) in Islamabad.
Matters related to regional and national security came under discussion, during the meeting.
At the occasion, Alice Wells said, “The government is trying to formulate a stable method of verifying passports and other related documents of people traveling from Pakistan to United States.”
She further said that United States government appreciates Pakistan’s government efforts and looks to strengthen ties.
Interior Minister, Ijaz Shah said that matters pertaining to illegal Pakistani immigrants residing in US also came under discussion and will be resolved soon.
